Arthur and Gwen ruled together Albion during the golden age and Merlin was the sassy court sorcerer and Gwen would laugh at Arthur and Merlin fighting like teenagers whereas they are 50 years old and Arthur/Gwen’s kids would follow Merlin anywhere he goes because their uncle is so cool and Arthur would teach his little girl how to fight and Gwen would teach his little boy how to be responsible and not to be dumb like his father

and Arthur would actually prove he is the greatest king ever instead of an oblivious teddy bear who would trust a serial killer over merlin

and Gwen would be happy and glowing

and they all die of old age
